Why Record at Home?

Let's be honest, renting a studio for recording is expensive. If you have the budget to do so, go for it, bro. However, recording at home allows you to redirect your budget towards other part of your music such as promoting. Also, recording at a studio can be stressful, which may affect the quality of your music. I've seen a lot of artists feel pressured when they are standing in a studio. The flow feels forced and they rap in circles. Many found their creative juice flow the best when they are relaxed. If you also feel this way, recording at home might be the right thing for you.

Would Home-recorded track Sound Amateur?

Yes... and No. Part of the perks of renting a studio is that you get equipments and an engineer sometimes. This is why studio-recorded tracks could sound professional. If you have equipments and a good setup at home, your track could sound just as good. of course, mixing and mastering are really the key ingredients here to ensure the best quality for your music.

How do I Start?

Why wait to rent a studio when you can start today and record at home? Follow these steps and start:

  1. Download FL Studio or BandLab

  2. Learn how to use it (Check out this post I have)

  3. Pick a beat and import it to an empty track (Check out my beats)

  4. Set up your mic (Check out this post on setting up your home studio)

  5. Rap your heart out

  6. Optional... but Mix and Mastering really makes all the difference
